Hi all,

Recently got a new dongle at the start of December, and have noticed random sites are being blocked only whilst on safari incognito...off incognito the sites seem to work fine but I browse any websites on incognito mainly

The error message I receive is "Safari can't open the page because it couldn't connect to the server"

The issue can be resolved by letting it fail to load and then swiping the page down and reducing protections but it's not something I want to keep doing - This is even blocking the official apple and the EE website funnily enough OR it can be resolved by leaving private relay on

On chrome all the websites load fine but then there is an error with streaming my webcam

I'm using an iPhone 11 / ios 17.1.2 any ideas on what the issue may be

Thanks for coming here.

Does the same happen when using mobile data and not connecting to the WiFi device?

Have you tried restarting the router and iPhone to see if the same happens?

hey I have spoken to the technical support team who told me it's my other provider blocking sites...didn't really sound like he knew what he was talking about to be honest

this would be impossible as when switching to 4G/mobile data the sites work fine - it's only when connected to the EE wifi that the sites don't work. some sites in question, TFL, gov.uk etc and this only happens on private browsing on safari

on top of that I also have issues with webcams, I can't stream other peoples webcams for whatever reason...this only happened when I got a new dongle - would it be best to try switch dongles again?

Hi,

I'm using a dongle for the EE sim. I appreciate the questions but it's 100% related to the dongle as I've had two previous dongles and this issue only started happening with the current one, unfortunately it's now affecting even more of the webcam features so I'll be closing my account with EE

Technical support over the phone was zero help and just assumed I meant parental controls.
