A 5G device using a 5G-enabled plan will automatically use 5G when it's available.

I don't believe this device is 5G-compatible though, the stats page lists numerous LTE bands but not any NR ones - https://mikrotik.com/product/sxt_lte6_kit

I am currently running off an external Mikrotik SXT-6 MODEM for intenet that is provided via a 4G signal. The area is being upgraded to 5G (apparently, were the MODEM pointing the other way, it might get 5G) - am I correct in thinking that the MODEM will automatically get the 5G signal when the relevant mast is upgraded?

PS: As far as I can rember, the mast in question is just off the A30 at Liverton Oak - EX20 2RB

Thanks - so I'll need a MODEM upgrade to get the a speed upgrade - the MODEM is supplied via AirBand, so I'll contact them for an upgrade.
