topic Connecting to 5G broadband in Mobile Broadband

I wonder if anyone can help, I spoke to EE to set up a 5G broadband package with an outdoor antenna because we have poor service indoors They said that would be no problem and sent a 5G router out but when it arrived the router had no outdoor antenna connection. I rang EE up to say they had sent the wrong one and found out they don’t have a 5G router with outdoor connection. I asked if I bought a Zyxel NR 5101 would an EE engineer come and fit an outdoor antenna to it seeing it is virtually the same has the EE router , but the engineer won’t touch the job unless the router had EE on it. , so it looks like it is down to me. Before I sent the router back I got an extension cable and tried the router where I was thinking of putting the antenna and got between 70-97 mbs My problem is the antenna would be around 15 - 20 meters away from the router, so what antenna and cable should I use because of the distance between the router and antenna. I have read the ideal is 5 meters. The only descent service is at the end of a shed connected to the house or on top of the chimney which is 3 stories high so moving the router isn’t really an option

Welcome to the community.

Unfortunately this isn't something I can support. We have some brilliant experts here in the community. Hopefully someone is along to answer your question soon.
