Your router is capable of receiving texts. Just login to it & look for the SMS section.

I have just started to live on a narrowboat and I needed a SIM card for the router. Got one from EE today. PAYG initially. My personal phone is on O2. When I log into the EE app to link to the SIM card it asks for my EE phone number to send a passcode to. Obviously though that won't come through on my O2 number.

So how can I access the app and register the SIM card, without using the EE number? Thank you!

You could ring customer services and explain what your problem is if you have got another mobile phone as a back up phone then use that as they could go through the way you do it. Hope this helps
