4G upload speed drop when mast upgraded to 5G

I use EE 4G for my household broadband, we have no have no fibre or landline alternative in this area. My 4G upload speed suddenly fell from around 2-3 mbps to around 0.1 or 0.2 mbps several weeks ago coinciding with work being done to upgrade the mast I use to 5G. Despite the work now being complete (but 5G not being available here) the upload speed remains at this very poor level. EE tells me everything is working as it should. Has anyone else seen their 4G upload speed plummet when their mast has been upgraded to 5G?

It's very unlikely to be related, if only for the fact that 4G carrier-adds are often conducted alongside 5G tech-adds.

Far more likely there is an issue with the 4G service on this site, or even some ongoing optimisation related to the new techs.

I'd recommend using the "report a problem" link on the website status checker in the first instance.
