It is only able to receive sms via 4g network. Is it possible to receive sms via 5g?

5G is only data and cannot do SMS or calls. That is why phones using 5G use more battery as they have to maintain two active aerials. You need a 4G sim for SMS/calls

Welcome to the community.
Your SIM card can use both 4G and 5 signal. As @Doge correctly said, the SMS and calls will go through on the 4G connection.
