topic Osprey Y855V Weak Security in Mobile Broadband

For a while now my iPhone and iPad have indicated that the Osprey WiFi has ‘Weak security’. I did some digging on the internet and discovered that iPhones give this message if the WiFi hub is using WPA2 security with the encoding, or ‘Cipher Type’, set to TKIP instead of the better AES.
Logging into the hub as Admin on 192.168.1.1. and going to Settings > WiFi and I saw that the Cipher Type was set to Auto. I changed it to AES and now the iPhone is happy😊

Also make sure that Security: = WPA2 PSK & not WPA/WPA2 PSK.
