wifi extender TV connection problem

I have mobile broadband, a Smart 4G Hub box. I have bought a wifi repeater in order to watch a Smart JVC TV in a bedroom some distance away from the box. In settings the TV is showing the wifi repeater with full bars however when I enter the password it is saying, no internet connection. I ve tried resetting it etc with no success.

In FAQ on the Quick Installation Guide for the repeater it mentions about disabling a MAC filter, wireless access or ACL - however I have no idea how to do this.

Has anyone ever tried this or has any other ideas how to solve the issue, it would be appreciated.
