mini wifi very poor signal over the last week.

Hi I'm currently 'using' a mini wifi device but the signal has become very poor. This last week and the drop out is infuriating. This is my back up device, as my main BT line supplying my Sky box has been disrupted my the road diggers cutting through the cable (BT have been unsuccessful this far repairing it and it has only been a week!). Any suggestions as to why the EE signal has become so poor, as to be almost unusable? I'm in the Bradford on Avon area.
