5GEE WiFi to replace our normal router?

I work from home and my biggest problem is internet speed. We currently use BT broadband which is fairly slow in my area.
I've been looking at the 5GEE WiFi as we have 5G coverage here. But I don't want to pay for both BT and this 5G WiFi.

Would it be a good replacement for our BT broadband, or is it still better to have landline broadband?

Depends what you use it for. Not if you're into gaming.

Well I'm sorry to disagree with XRaySpeX but I game (online multi player games) quite successfully with 4G using their 4GEE Home Router 2 so I'm sure 5G wouldn't be a problem at all. The only issue you may have would be if you wanted to host multiplayer games from your PC as its often necessary to open ports in your router and this isn't possible with this type of router.

Your post implies that your primary concern would be business related and not gaming per se. So if your current BT connection is slow then 5G will be orders of magnitude faster. However the fact that you have 5G implies that are in a fairly urban area and it seems surprising that your struggling with your current BT connection, maybe there's a fault.

Another possibly relevant concern is that you would probably want a significant if not unlimited data allowance. This is of course available but the cost is higher than with landline broadband.
