Huawei 5G Router

I have just purchased a Huawei H112-370 CPE Pro 5g router to replace my 4g router, I have a 5g unlimited sim with EE. I was getting good speeds with my 4g router 100mbs+ but decided to upgrade to get even better speeds, unfortunately this is not the case I only ever seem to reach a max of about 35mbs. Also I cannot now connect to my surfshark vpn and a couple of other apps. Any ideas? Thanks

Are you getting a 5G connection? Are you getting any error messages when connecting to those apps?

Hi Chris, both 5g and 4g lights on the router are on when I connect to the internet, and no errors come up with apps, just won't connect. My vpn trys to connect but the best it does is 44% and then fails.

Do other apps work OK, @TUX1608st? Such as the web browser and other internet based apps?

Have you tried restarting the device?

The browser and most of the other apps seem to work fine, I have reset the router a couple of times but it has not really made any difference. I think my next step is to try a 3 data sim in the router to see if that makes a differance.
