Hi, I just found out as per the original query that if you respond to an existing 150 message through the Mini WiFi box you can activate a new package.

Is there a way through the user interface (192.168.1.1) where you can text from this device? I know that you can receive texts, view them and forward them, but you can't send them if I am correct.

This is a bit problematic when you want to start a new data pack and the message tells you to text 'NOW' to '150' to start the new pack. The only way to activate is to call EE.

Hi @jkingsbury1.

You should be able to receive a text, but not send them.

You could try putting your SIM in a phone to send this.

With that particular mobile router you may not send new texts but only send replies to received texts.

That's a good idea when you already have a received text from 150. It doesn't need to be connected with what you want to say.
