Ee mini hub on 5ghz

Hi there, I have a EE mini hub and it only shows the 2.4ghz.

I have gone into WiFi settings and changed it to 5Ghz and then it doesn't show up at all. I tried setting this up new and entering the information myself but it still doesn't work. I am using a device I know uses 5Ghz (my MacBook pro) and I can see my neighbours 5ghz WiFi connection on my laptop, but I can't see my own.

Please could you help.

Your 4GEE WiFi Mini will only broadcast on one WiFi band at a time. Can you see the 5GHz network on your phone?

My laptop does work on 5GHz and so does my phone. It doesn't show up on either of them unfortunately.

When you changed the Router to 5GHz did you save the Settings and Reboot the Router?

Another thing you can try is to change the Routers 5Ghz AP Broadcast Channel to a lower Channel Number (say 36 to 48 Range) as a lot older Hardware cannot see the upper Extended 5GHz Channel Range (eg, 64 to 170)
