Hi

I'm currently on a plan that gives me 100gb a month on a sim cardcin a router on WiFi for £35 a month. I've recently had my smart TV connected to my router and and this gives me 1000s of TV programmes to watch, but my current bill is around £115 and I can't keep paying that every month because I am on sickness benefits for a life long back and legs condition, that leaves me in a lot of pain for which I take a lot of medication including morphine and codeine that helps with my pain, but doesn't get rid of it all together. I don't sleep well so have been watching the new channels that I now get on my TV and it as been really helpful through the night recently.

My current WiFi plan ends next summer, but I can't keep paying bills of around £115 a month until then. I've seen a plan with unlimited data for £31 a month but to get it I would need to over £200 to pay of my current plan, but I just don't have the money because I'm on sickness benefits which I will always be on. I need to use my savings to pay this current bill for around £115. I wanted to know if I could be moved onto the £31 a month plan which contains unlimited Internet access via WiFi because I don't have the £200 and something pound to change to that plan, which would suit my needs and I could watch TV, especially through the night without worrying about the bill. Any help that you could give me would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

The charges are incurred by you. If you don't want the charges don't incur them.

Have you considered fixed line broadband as you would then pay one cost and whatch whatever you want.

Also please read this article.

Are you on contract or PAYG? If you're on contract you can't change plan mid-term. When does your contract end?

Why are you needing to about £80 each month more than your plan cost? Are you having to buy data add-ons each month?

I'm on contract till next summer. I'm needing to buy add-ons because I've
just connected the smart TV to it. YouTube is not to bad, buy Netflix,
iplayer etc. really goes through it quickly. When I can upgrade next summer
I'll go for unlimited. And at the minute their is an unlimited plan that
is £4 cheaper than I'm paying for 100gb. lol Just my luck.

Why not just have the free channels and save money until then?

Most of us have smart tv, but do not pay for all the extras, such as Netflix, Sky, Amazon Prime, Apple, just to name a few.

You know, it is up to you, if you cannot afford the extras, cut them out, plenty of channels you can watch without having all the add-ons.

The point is I'm paying £4 more for 100gb and their is another package that
is £4 cheaper for unlimited data. I only changed my plan because my old
router broke. I was told by the sales man at EE that was the best plan. It
perhaps was at the time, but I wouldn't have changed plans if my old router
hadn't broke, and my old plan was costing me about £75 s month for 50gb.

And it's not thedifferent TV packages that run up your bill, they are all
at set prices, it's the data that you get through that costs the money.
You don't have to have an extra TV packag, free channels cost you money
because they use a lot of data and when you can barely move and suffer
from chronic pain and insomnia, watching TV is one of the only things that
you can do when you're disabled.
