We got a router in Sept that uses mobile data as there's only 1mps available via fixed line.

The company pays me (eventually!) and there's no direct debit option, so have to use PAYG.

I started with 240GB and I've topped up 3 lots of 120GB but it just disappears instantly - there's 2 of us in the house for 4 nights (and the last week, just me), but just after midnight there's a massive spike and most (if not all) the data gets used..... what could possibly be causing this? I have checked my phone and that is only doing a cumulative backup and it's only got 11gB on it total.....

This will use data even if you’re not using the device? Has your device had a software update ?

It's not just happened once, it's happening every time I top up....am sure the phone can't eat 50 or 70gb just with a backup can it?

It could be any one of those three other devices (not the TV if it's off) that could be using the data, @B1g5tu.

Are you able to do a bit of testing? First of all, I'd recommend disconnecting the Firestick to see if that stops this from happening.

Some TVs have Hot USB Port(s) sometimes just one or all of them, the idea is an 'energy saving' or 'don't disconnect me' so when you switch the TV off (Stand By) the USB Port(s) are still active with the TV off, meaning if you need to Charge or Power a USB Device you can do it without having to Switch the TV back on or Killing the USB Device from a Remote Connection, the bottom line to all this is if your Streaming via a USB Device and just switch off the TV (Stand By) the Device will carry on Streaming as its still connected to the Internet. For this reason its worth testing this by removing the Fire stick as @Christopher_G suggested.

Or is the Firestick Powered a separate PSU, my 4K Roku Stick does this, I can completely unplug my TV but the Roku Stick is still showing as Internet Connected on my Router.

Other thing I noticed is on your Pic of the Data Usage, they all seem to be a few minutes past Midnight, so are you sure these are Data Burst Usage or a Report of the Total Data Used in the previous 24 Hours?
