Did you provide the correct email address and checked your spam folder?
I suggest you try the unlocking guide now as they might forgot to send you this but have requested the unlock for you already.

I'm going to call EE again today (currently in Oz) to try and get it sorted. They have been nothing but a nightmare for the past couple of weeks.
