0800 0845 numbers from EE

Hi all,

Has anyone seen the new offer from Virgin, £26 for unlimited everything but also includes 0800, 0845, 0870, 0808.

They use Orange , T-mobile network. what i'm getting at is how can EE charge a fortune if it's free with other operators using there network.

EE , you need to sort out this 08 number issue

Even T-Mobile did used to include them in their older SIM only tariffs.  The TM tariff I used to be on before I switched to 4G included them.

There are plenty of ways round 08 numbers on a mobile on any network though.

Re: 0800 0845 numbers from EE

Hi

I use 0800 wizard for 0800 and saynoto0870 for some 0845.

I find more and more 0845 no's just drop the call when using a landline no.

I would just like to call the no without having to get on the internet for a hopefully free no.

WeQ4U is a great app for dialing 08 numbers.  It's available for iOS and Android.

I use WeQ4U .... its not often that they don't have the number. When they don't I go online and use saynoto0870... brill site.

Another thought if anyone reads this. Put 141 infront of the number [i.e. landline No] this stops your No showing to the operator and tell them you are calling from abroad if asked : ]  works a treat.

I find it astonishing that on most payandgo tarrifs/ bundles 0800/0808/0500 numbers aren't at the very least included in inclusive minutes and you have to pay for them out of airtime credit
Unbelievable

All mobile networks will have to offer truly free calls from 2015. OFCOM having a very long consolation about it though so a while to wait yet!

Re: 0800 0845 numbers from EE

It is not mandatory for EE to offer 08 numbers as part of the package.

Virgin essentially but airtime off EE and resell it as a MVNO. They need to make their plans attractive and hence they need to make such deals if not why would someone buy a rebranded EE and not get the real deal.

There may be plenty to say about Virgin's £26 unlimited deal or anyother for that matter but overall I would still say EE gives you plenty more (I have VM BB, their customer support is really bad).

This is more of a request and would be better placed in the Ideas lab. For now the only solution seems to be Weq4u, Saynoto0870 or other alternatives.

If you need to call them for free, WeQ4u offers their number to be saved as a contact. Just dial them and then the 08 number - no internet needed. Can also do the same with 0800buster.

If you are looking for sites/apps and alternatives we can start collecting a list which will benefit the whole community.

How come no ones mentioned Orange's 08 bundles?

Orange offer's some good 08 bundles!

£2.50 - 50 08 Minutes

£5 - 200 08 Minutes

£10 - 500 08 Minutes

And its not like Vodafone's 08 bundle where you can only dial 0800, 0808, 0845 and 0870. On Orange you can dial any 08 number!
