You may have read that EE, alongside the other major mobile networks, has been working with Government

to improve mobile coverage across the UK.

On Wednesday, we signed an agreement with the Government to each provide 90% geographic network coverage for voice and text by 2017, making sure our customers stay connected in even more places up and down the country.

This is all part of our strategy to make sure EE customers benefit from the best coverage in the UK. Last week we announced that 1,500 unconnected villages would soon benefit from our award-winning network thanks to our new Micro Network technology, and this deal gives EE customers in remote areas even more reason to celebrate.

To hit this target, we’re continuing to invest in our mobile infrastructure to give the UK better connectivity, part of a £5 billion collective investment by networks.

EE CEO Olaf Swantee said: “EE is focused on bringing the best voice and data service to its customers across the UK, and only last week announced 1,500 unconnected villages will soon benefit from EE coverage. This agreement ensures that our customers are able to stay connected in even more places up and down the country.”
