SIM change

I have been trying for 7 hours to register my new SIM with your web site continually showing a technical problem which will not allow this to happen- please sort.

Exactly the same problems. I put in my 4 digit code and it said tec problems and the network is down!

well I for one am changing networks,rubbish service,thank god I bought a sim free phone!

Muttlady. You do know sim free handsets lock to the first sim you insert in it.

I suspect OP means an "unlocked" phone. Most people don't distinguish between the two. Of course, an unlocked phone (from e.g. Carphone Warehouse) can take any SIM as that is what being unlocked means.
