UPDATE: EE HAVE SINCE CONTACTED ME TO SAY THAT EE IS NOT RESTRICTING ACCESS TO IMGUR

EE ARE INVESTIGATING AND WILL ESTABLISH WHY ACCESS TO THIS SITE IS UNAVAILABLE AT PRESENT.

I do not have content lock enabled. I had my content lock removed on day 1 of my contract in 2012.
EE are filtering their customer’s internet connections.
Access to the website http://imgur.com is being blocked by EE.
EE state on their website that they do not block access to any legal sites.:
The Internet Watch Foundation has stated they are not blocking http://imgur.com:
EE's executive office have confirmed to myself that they are currently blocking the whole of http://imgur.com
EE will not tell me why they are blocking this website.

This is affecting 4GEE customers only.
4GEE Customers are routed via the "T-mobile" ISP or the "Orange" ISP. I believe this is due to load balancing.
To see what ISP you are currently using simply visit the link below and look at the ISP label.
The censor is currently only affecting customers routed via the T-Mobile ISP
The executive representative stated that it should be restriced via the Orange ISP also and i am "Lucky" that I can access the website sometimes.
It’s also worth noting that the list of websites that have been court ordered to be blocked in the UK are still accessible using EE
I have not received an adequate response or solution from EE.
I will be making an application to CISAS (Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme)
I am happy with every other aspect of service from EE. I do not wish to cancel my contract. I just want the service I am paying for.

Surely they must have made a mistake. Why else would they block a totally legitimate image-sharing site that is used extensively on the internet?

EE are not intentionally blocking this page. If they were they'd be blocking it on all IP address ranges and across all 3 brands.
IWF are not intentionally blocking this page either.
As the issue is with a specific IP range then DDOS prevention misconfigured could be the issue and would be with imgur.com. Or it could be something within the EE network having gone wrong but I can't see why that would be with a specific site.
I've forwarded the issue to the appropriate people within EE to try and resolve it and to reply with an official response.

I have already had confirmation from imgur that it is not a DDOS prevention method.
They checked their config and then advised me to contact my ISP
The EE exec rep states that it should have been blocked via the Orange ISP route and that i was lucky if i could access it.
May I ask who you are going to forward this to to get the correct response? I was advised that the Executive office was the highest point of escalation

I'm not sure who you are talking to but this is incorrect. If EE or Orange or T-Mobile were intentionally blocking imgur.com you would be blocked regardless of which network you were on and which IP address you were allocated. As another poster earlier has said, if you were blocked via EE you'd be redirected to the safeguard or content lock pages on this site. If you were blocked via IWF you get redirected to another page that is obviously IWF related.
This is a fault in the network. I have reported it as such and someone from EE will update hopefully shortly.

I really do hope this is a fault in the network.
There is no re-direction to a block page, no "unable to connect error. Just a blank page.
I emailed the executive email addresses. This was obviously passed on to their Customer Service team authorized to represent the execs.
The representative i spoke to advised she did not want me to post her full name due to DPA.
Who exactly are you reporting it to in EE?

Thanks for raising this. We're aware of your problem with imgur and we're working on a fix.
And many thanks Richard for helping out.
For now, it would be good to know if there's a wider issue accessing imgur. Has anyone else had a problem?
